Hi. Can I get some scoop on my favorite ‘ship, Will and Alicia from The Good Wife? Thanks. — Sietske
I’d love to give you some ‘shippy scoop, but truth be told, Alicia’s a little busy next week, you know, watching her life come apart! But while most of her scenes with Will in the super stellar May 3 episode are case-related, his name certainly comes up in another conversation… between her and Peter. And it’s not a happy chat.

Matt's Inside Line
A Good Wife‘s Bad News | During a feature interview I conducted this morning with The Good Wife‘s Alan Cumming, I asked if Alicia learning about Peter bedding Kalinda arrives at a bad time for the campaign. After noting there’s “never a good time” for such a bombshell, Cumming went on to preview the reveal itself, which he happened to watch during a Sunday ADR session. “It’s really heartbreaking, actually. Devastating. I was all teary,” he shared. “Alicia has been this steely woman, and then this thing happens…. You finally see her crack.”

Ask Ausiello
Question: Can I get some scoop on my favorite show The Good Wife? Is Will ever going to tell Alicia that he lied to her about the second voicemail? —Sietske
Ausiello: As executive producer Robert King recently told TVLine’s Matt Mitovich, Will initially lied “for the most honorable reason, in that she is married. But what will that mean now that the foundation of [Peter and Alicia's] marriage will be shook?” My guess? He’s going to tell her he lied about the voicemail and those two crazy kids will finally get it on. But that’s just a guess.

Latest from Kristin
Judie in Albuquerque: Peter? Will? Is Alicia ever going to decide on The Good Wife?
We posed your question to executive producers David Zucker and Brooke Kennedy, who told us, "Alicia (Julianna Margulies) goes on a particular journey outside of what we've seen her before, (which) leads her to ask Will certain questions. I wouldn't say it's a confrontation or as direct as you (would like), but it leads us to circle back." And SAG winner Julianna said at last week's Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Good Wife panel, "Personally, I think Alicia truly needs to find out who she is without men." Where's the fun in that? Maybe Alicia should embrace her inner cougar and go after Cary (Matt Czuchry)!

It's a close up shot of Alicia and Will having an intimate moment at the bar, played out through their fingers. They did this scene 3 times and the third time was the best. It started with Alicia seeking out Will's fingers and Will only too willingly accepting the flirtatious gesture!
I walk up to the set just after Julianna leaves her trailer and steps into The Mansfield Hotel. So, I missed that picture taking moment. It was a bright somewhat sunny day in NYC today, so they had to cover the windows with a black cloth to give it an appearance of night. Also, with some well positioned lighting, the illumination made the scene so much more ominous.
Even though everyone was outside standing on the sidewalk of NYC, I could hear everything going on inside the bar because I was standing right behind the sound engineer, who has the coolest job EVER I might add! He watches the scene and listens to all the dialogue to make sure the lines are heard clearly.
Anyhoo, Josh and Julianna (Alicia and Will) share a drink at the bar. They were doing shots. I assume it was tequila since they both licked salt and sucked a lime afterwards. Getting them both to drink the shot simultaneously was hilarious. Josh kept doing...ummmm...."suggestive" things with the salt shaker. Oh my!! At one moment, I saw Josh lean over to whisper something in Julianna's ear and I thought, "Oh my god, this is it! It's a kiss!!" However alas, they weren't in character. It really was just a whisper and no one heard what was said.
So, they say some dialogue, run through the scene pretty fast, makeup comes, they fix Julianna's hair (multiple times), now it's time to shoot the scene. All of this takes hours because they had to do the scene over and over again. Even though they were inside the bar, you could still hear the honking taxi cabs outside. They need absolute quiet on the set as any other noise is added in at a later date.
They film the same scene at least 3 times. Once with the camera facing Josh and Julianna. Second with a closeup of Julianna from the side. Third, with a closeup of Josh from the side. Hours I tell ya!
So they complete the dialogue and now it's time to do a close up.
Apparently Alicia isn't wearing her wedding ring, which means she and Peter might be separate by then.
